Manaphy is a Water-type Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is known as the 'Seafaring Pokémon' and it is recognized for its ability to bond with any sort of Pokémon, regardless of their type. Unique to Manaphy is the ability Hydration, which heals any status conditions while it's raining. Manaphy has a round, blue body with antennae that have red orbs at the ends, which are used to find food in dark waters. It has flipper-like arms and can have a glow around its body, typically done when it's excited or happy. Manaphy also has the ability to breed with a Ditto to create Phione. However, despite this, Phione cannot evolve into Manaphy. This makes Manaphy one of the unique Mythical Pokémon that has a connection to another Pokémon through breeding. Although Manaphy does not have any conventional evolutionary stages, it is uniquely related to Phione as mentioned earlier. Notably, this is the only case in the Pokémon universe where a Mythical Pokémon can produce an offspring. In terms of abilities, Manaphy is known for its impressive special attack and special defense, but also has good speed and decent physical defense and HP, making it a fairly well-rounded Pokémon. It can learn a variety of water-based moves, like Bubble and Water Pulse, but it can also learn some ice and psychic moves, such as Ice Beam and Psychic.
