Miraidon, also known as the Iron Serpent, is a large, robotic, reptilian Pokémon primarily violet in color with a gray face, claws, abdomen, and tail. It is an Electric/Dragon type Pokémon first introduced in Generation 9. Mysterious in nature, much about Miraidon remains unknown. However, it is noted for its legendary status in Pokémon Violet and its signature Ability: the Hadron Engine. This unique Ability is newly introduced for Miraidon and further contributes to its legendary status. In battle, Miraidon is known as one of the most formidable wallbreakers in the Ubers tier, able to hold its own against strong opponents. An old legend talks about the Iron Serpent's terrifying power to reduce land to ash using lightning. Despite its immense power, Miraidon is not initially available for combat in Pokémon Violet. It serves instead as the player's mount throughout the game, but eventually becomes available for combat in the endgame of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
