Primarina is a dual-type Water/Fairy Pokémon introduced in Generation VII of the Pokémon series. It is the final form of Popplio, one of the first partners available in the Alola Region. After gaining enough experience, Popplio evolves into Brionne, which then evolves into Primarina. Primarina is notable for its siren-like appearance. It has a slender, mermaid-like body covered in blue and white fur, resembling a sea lion. It also has a long, fish-like tail. Its hair, which mirrors a mermaid's, is long, wavy, and blue. Additionally, Primarina has a sea star hair clip, a pink nose, and big blue eyes. In combat, Primarina utilizes water and sound waves to create beautiful yet powerful balloons, using them as both offense and defense in battle. It's known for its strong and flexible voice as well, which it uses for its signature move, Sparkling Aria. Playing up its mermaid aesthetic, Primarina is often associated with performing arts as it dances and controls its water balloons to express its feelings - this process is commonly considered as a performance.
