Cascoon is a Bug-type Pokémon which is registered as number #268 in the Pokédex. It evolves from Wurmple starting at level 7, a process that is based on its personality value. Cascoon’s appearance resembles a silkworm cocoon – its body is purple and round, with a tougher shell that protects it from enemies and harsh conditions. Unique to Cascoon is its evolution process. Depending on its personality value, at level 10, it can evolve into either Dustox if its personality value is even, or remain as a Cascoon if it's odd. During its evolution process, this Pokémon is almost completely immobile and waits for evolution while surviving on the energy it stored as a Wurmple. Despite its gentle appearance, it can defend itself by releasing poisonous stings if touched or threatened.
