Tapu Bulu is a Grass/Fairy-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation VII of the Pokémon series. Its category is regarded as the Land Spirit Pokémon. Physically characterized by its bull-like appearance, Tapu Bulu has a black body, a head with horns that looks like a bull, and legs that appear to be wrapped in vegetation. With its ability known as the Grassy Surge, it has the power to manipulate vegetation and stimulate their growth, filling the surroundings with lush greenery. This means upon entering a battle, it automatically creates Grassy Terrain, healing all grounded Pokémon a little every turn. It carries a wooden hammer, which it uses for intense battles and releasing energy to control and influence its environment. According to the Alola folklore, its proverbial hammers also serve a dual purpose as they use them in rituals to bless tools and crops. It should be noted that Tapu Bulu is one out of the four guardian deities of the Alola Region, the others being Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini. As a deity, it's known to perform duty of a protector over Alola's Ula'ula Island, but it is also known for its quite lazier and peaceful nature. Unlike many Pokémon, Tapu Bulu does not have any known evolutions or pre-evolutions.
