Xatu is a Psychic/Flying type Pokémon introduced in Generation 2. This Pokémon is known as the Mystic Pokémon. Xatu is green in color, standing up on two legs, embodying a totem pole or kachina doll design, reflecting its inspiration from various indigenous North and Central American cultures. It has a somewhat stylized, angular shape, with wings as arms that have red and white designs. Two long, green appendages, resembling dreadlocks, extend out from either side of its body beneath its wings. Xatu's eyes are almond-shaped and red in color. It possesses a round body and a sharp, elongated beak. Xatu possesses the ability to see both the past and future. It remains motionless all day in a meditative state – not moving to eat or defend itself, seemingly in fear of the futures it might see. Xatu evolves from Natu, a smaller bird-like Pokémon, starting at level 25, marking the end of its evolutionary line. It's worth noting that Natu is caught in the wild and then evolves into Xatu, so Xatu itself cannot be caught in the wild. In terms of abilities, Xatu has both Early Bird and Synchronize as its regular abilities, and Magic Bounce as its hidden ability. These skills lean towards manipulating status condition effects and move usage in battle. This Pokémon can learn a variety of both Psychic and Flying type moves, making it a unique combination in battle. It can fly through the air at high speeds and unleash devastating psychic blasts at its enemies. It's a powerful addition to any Pokémon team.
