Meltan is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise, introduced in "Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!" and "Let's Go, Eevee!" This Steel-type Pokemon is labeled as a Hex Nut species which hails from another world. Meltan is small, characterized by its amorphous, liquid metal body, often described as similar to mercury. It has a silver hexagonal nut on its head, one eye with a black iris and a red pupil, and a drooping, blob-like body. It uses its liquid arms and legs to corrode and absorb metal from its surroundings. Notably, it can evolve into a larger, stronger form known as Melmetal through a process involving various rare candies. This is the first Mythical Pokémon with the ability to evolve. While Melmetal hasn't appeared in the games yet, it made its debut in "Pokémon Go" and the Pokémon Anime, where its massive size and formidable strength are on full display. Both stages of this evolutionary line boast the unique ability called Magnet Pull.
