Iron Thorns is a large, bipedal, dinosaur-like Pokémon that appears to be made out of metal. Its body and limbs are covered with a green, metallic armor plating. Notable black features are present on its claws, lower jaw, parts of its abdomen, and tail tip. In certain parts of its torso and legs, the armor appears to be transparent, revealing a glowing green substance, perhaps an energy source, within. Iron Thorns is a Rock/Electric type Pokémon, introduced in Generation 9, and bears a unique resemblance to Tyranitar. Its special ability, Quark Drive, has the power to increase Iron Thorns' highest stat- be it attack, defense, speed, etc.- by 30%, or 50% for speed specifically, when Electric Terrain is activated. You can find this Pokemon in Area Zero of Pokemon Violet after completing the main story. It also has an Iron Defense move with a 10% chance to freeze the target. Unique to the game Pokemon Violet, Iron Thorns is depicted as a paradox variant of Tyranitar.
